Just a splash of vintage in a Gentleman's Study.

When looking around the Parlour Studio, you might notice a couple of furniture components and little Easter eggs or past studios. I wanted to bring back old ideas and revamp them into something that would shine in this space. This space holds so much emotion for me. Especially since I now know that my great-grandmother worked in this building a long time ago.

From the very beginning, I had a clear vision for the Parlor Studio - a space in my hometown where artists could come together to connect and create beautiful art pieces in a safe environment designed for photography. My design focus is primarily directed at vintage and masculine aesthetics, and I wanted to combine these elements to create a colorful and stunning space.

Over the past five months, I have been working tirelessly to decorate, redesign, and organize the studio while simultaneously running the Norfolk location and going on Destination Boudoir shoots. Despite the challenges of juggling all these responsibilities while caring for my two toddlers, the journey has been nothing short of amazing. Every time I walk into the Parlor Studio, I am reminded that I made the right decision, and I am excited to share this beautiful space with other photographers in the future.

We have photographed nine clients in the studio just in the past four weeks, and I love every time a client comes in. They’re blown away by the amount of detail in the Parlour Studio and how much they love their boudoir session with us. I always pride myself in being able to thoroughly and fully dive into a client experience and create a unique and captivating experience for every client that walks in our door. We design everything from their lingerie to their music, everything they can think of to make their vision come to life. That is why I believe our experience is one of the best experiences I’ve seen in this industry. So, if you’re ever considering doing a boudoir session and thinking about coming to Gloucester, know we just opened up a second location. I’m super excited to be taking clients in for 2024!

What Is Included In The Experience?

Each Solo or Couples Boudoir Session is customized toward what the client(s) desire. At Sarah McDaniel Studio we pamper each client with Professional Hair & Makeup, a One on One Fitting Session with access to our VIP Clients Closet with over 900 outfits to choose from, A dedicated session with the studio of their choice , 1-2 Hour Photography Session, and a private Ordering Session for Photos and Products. We pride ourselves in being able to showcase the elegant and dominant sides in everyone. Photos & Products are not included with the Session fee, and are purchased separately at the Ordering Session.

If you are thinking about doing a boudoir shoot with Sarah DO IT! I was extremely nervous and this experience was completely out of my comfort zone. Sarah, Kim, Ann Marie, and Olivia are all incredible and will make you feel so comfortable. Kim had outfit options ready and listened to my likes and dislikes. My hair and makeup were done perfectly by the very talented Olivia. Sarah and Ann Marie made sure that I felt comfortable during the actual shoot. The studio is amazing . The neon mirror room add-on is a must. They made me laugh but most of all made me feel incredible about my body. I had to fight back tears when I saw my photos. I couldn't believe that was me. If you are on the fence about booking a shoot I encourage you to take the leap and just do it!

Sarah is absolutely amazing and such a wonderful professional who makes you feel like a million bucks!! I cannot give her a higher review or a higher recommendation!! She is an amazing woman who is so sweet and kind! My wife and I absolutely love our pictures and our time with Sarah and her crew! We did the maternity pictures in the gorgeous rose garden. I had my shoot yesterday and WOW! Sarah was amazing and so incredibly creative. She made me feel so empowered, and Olivia made me look like a glittery goddess! Kimberly was the perfect hype girl, and Ann helped me choose between photos and all of the merch! I felt so comfortable around these strong and confident women, who have the most welcoming personalities. I am SO in love with my photos and can’t wait to give them to my fiancé the night before our wedding! HIGHLY recommend. Feel like the goddess that you are!

Can't say enough amazing things about this business! Everything was very transparent from the beginning with her contract, portfolio and price quotes on her website! The pre-photoshoot prep made me feel like a celebrity. With all the employees showing me different options for outfits and helping me trying everything on and hyping me up throughout the whole experience. They even hyped my man up! Haha we both felt very comfortable and like we were hanging out with friends. Our images turned out AMAZING and the album and other products we purchased were great quality. Nearly a year later I still look back on our photos and remember the wonderful experience Sarah and her crew provided. Cannot recommend enough!!!
